WeHaKee World News: Introducing the Newest Member of Our Year-Round Team!

Camp WeHaKee is thrilled to introduce the newest member of our year-round staff.  Ana Gaby Ruiz will become the Associate Director of Camp WeHaKee beginning May 1st, 2023.  She is a familiar face in our camp community, having been a WeHaKee camper for 6 years followed by 8 years on our summer staff as a counselor, activity leader and most recently our Business Manager.  

Born and raised in Mexico, Ana Gaby continues to reside in her hometown of Mexico City.  Prior to joining WeHaKee’s staff, she was the Business Administrator for Proart Interlomas, a professional musical theatre school in Mexico City.  In addition she has worked as a competitive dance instructor and as a hospital dietitian.  In university, she majored in dietetics and food sciences culminating in a master’s degree in obesity and comorbidities.  She also has completed coursework in business administration.

Beyond Ana Gaby’s broad experience with Camp WeHaKee, she has a deep understanding and love of all things WeHaKee.  Over the years, she has been an ambassador for Camp WeHaKee, recruiting many girls and young women from Mexico to come to the northwoods of Wisconsin to grow in ways never imagined.  Directors, Maggie & Bob Braun are thrilled to have Ana Gaby join our year-round team!
