WeHaKee Moon Rising!
Last night, we enjoyed the last WeHaKee Moon before heading up to camp in a few days. We hope you were able to see it , too!! In La Crosse we had crystal clear skies, so when the moon rose over the bluffs just after twilight, it was a spectacular sight!
Up until a week or so ago, it has been a rather bleak spring here in the Midwest. With Easter occurring so late and winter hanging on much longer than it should, it is hard to believe that the first group of girls will be arriving at Camp WeHaKee just a month from Friday.
With all that said though, Joe and Steve have been working long and hard preparing camp for another beautiful summer on Hunter Lake. They just completed the expansion of the Hawkinson kitchen allowing us to once again offer the ever popular cooking activity – you’re gonna love the new digs! They also hope to have a brand new deck overlook and stairs down to the ski dock in place for all to enjoy – gone will be the railroad tie steps and the challenging walk down the slope!
We look forward to seeing all of our old friends along with a wonderful group of new campers and staff this summer! We can’t wait ’cause it’s gonna be a great time at Camp WeHaKee – for the 89th time!!
See you there!
