Meet the Directors and New Staff

Margaret, Maggie, Thatch – it’s getting a bit confusing around here at WeHaKee Camp for Girls! With the addition of our new full-time staff member and other directors, we thought we’d provide a short, but helpful primer on figuring out who’s who.

Maggie Braun

For the last dozen years, Maggie Braun has been one of the directors at Camp WeHaKee with her husband, Bob. She can be easily identified by her big, infectious smile and bright, welcoming eyes. At camp you’ll often find her hanging out in the valley, talking, playing games, and just plain getting to know the campers. She loves to sing and plays her guitar at nearly all of the WeHaKee campfires.

So how do you best remember her? Big smile, shorter hair, and always ready to listen to all you have to share!

Margaret ‘Thatch’ Roesler

Coming on as our brand new Camp Business Administrator, Margaret Roesler, who is affectionately known as ‘Thatch’, is no stranger to the WeHaKee Camp for Girls community. She has been on our summer staff for over three summers as a cabin counselor, the director of the Leadership Academy, and as our Communications Coordinator. She is quite the social media wiz and will bring lots of new and exciting online adventures to keep us all connected throughout the summer and all year long!

So how is Margaret different from Maggie? Although she too, is blessed with an inviting and fun-loving smile, her hair is a bit lighter and a bit longer.

It might be confusing at first to figure out who is Maggie and who is Margaret and who in the world is Thatch Well, now you know!
