Camp WeHaKee’s archery program is so much fun because it combines skill-building with a sense of accomplishment and adventure. Archery at WeHaKee is set up to make it accessible for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned archers. It’s an activity that provides great opportunities for growth and success, leading to increased confidence, perseverance, and independence. Our staff instructors are great at creating a supportive, safe, encouraging, and fun experience, helping campers develop skills gradually while hitting their target goals—literally!

The activity offers more than just hitting a bullseye; it’s a full experience. There’s the thrill of drawing the bowstring, focusing your aim, and releasing, followed by that satisfying thud as the arrow meets its mark. And even if you miss, there are plenty of opportunities to try again and again! Plus, with some friendly competitions and challenges, archery becomes a bonding experience as campers cheer each other on and celebrate one another’s achievements.

The archery range at Camp WeHaKee is set up in the beautiful outdoor setting of the camp, so campers are surrounded by nature as they shoot. This peaceful setting lets campers immerse themselves in the activity and enjoy some downtime, unplugged and outside. And they might even see the resident eagle swoop down from its nearby nest! It’s a unique blend of relaxation, focus, and fun that makes it one of the most memorable parts of camp for so many campers.
