Full Moon Over Hunter Lake

It has been a diamond day on Hunter lake with bright blue skies dotted with puffy white clouds. Having seen the nearly full moon rise last night during our Welcome Fire, there is great anticipation regarding the tradtional visit of Mary WeHaKee on the night of the full moon. Will she be here tonight?   Which horse will she select to ride through camp? Will she sing her moving song as she paddles off Hunter Lake and on down the Chippewa?

What will tonight bring? Look up to the moon this evening and see if you feel the pull of the bungee cords and imagine the visit of Mary WaHeKee!
