Fridays with Franky: Preparing for Summer 2019!
Hello everyone! It’s Franky the camp dog. Can you believe that the WeHaKee team has been busy preparing for summer 2019 already? The work begins in the middle of summer 2018, in fact! Registration for the following summer opens so that our campers can go home and lock in their spot for another fun session at camp.
Lots of other things happen at camp preparing for the new summer as well. This fall our driveway was re-paved for a new smooth entrance into 2019! The camp linen room was reorganized and sorted to make way for the freshly washed linens for the campers next summer. The lodge also got a fresh coat of paint!
So while we think of this as “closing-up” season, and the time to shut all the windows and pull all the docks off the water, it really is a new beginning!
If you wish your life could be as organized as a facilities check at WeHaKee, here are my 5 tips for preparing for your new beginning in summer 2019 at WeHaKee!
-
Take advantage of discounts!
This year WeHaKee has the ULTIMATE discount, literally. Our Ultimate Early Bird Discount will only last until October 15th, but it means $500 off your summer fees.
-
Know you have flexibility!
If you are worried about knowing how WeHaKee will fit in with your schedule next summer, you should know that it’s perfectly fine to register for one session and then switch to another later in the season. And the best part? All your discounts stay with you!
-
Take time to reflect.
If you attended camp this past summer, or you enjoyed other fun summer activities, take some time with your family and friends to talk about what made summer 2018 so fun! What was your favorite thing you did at camp? What was your favorite thing you did together? Express gratitude for what summer 2018 gave you, and it will make you all the more ready to accept new or similar experiences in summer 2019!
-
Share your thoughts!
WeHaKee is always looking to grow. Our summer communities are unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences supported by years of work to prepare and plan. If you have ideas to improve WeHaKee, or things we need to keep doing, please contact us and let us know.
-
Stay connected!
Please remember to write letters and stay in touch with your camp friends. At the Heart of WeHaKee is Relationship, and that starts with each member of our community! Those friends you made from around the world have the potential to be lifelong connections!
I’m the luckiest dog in the world to be the WeHaKee camp dog. I do miss all my friends this time of year, but I cannot contain my excitement to do it all over again next summer. Let’s start now!
See you at camp!
