Fridays with Franky: The Perfect Fit
Hello everyone! Franky the WeHaKee camp dog here! Our season of travel is well underway, starting with Chicago last weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Scout Cabin in Riverside and to the Sheraton in Northbrook to spend time with us, meet and greet some WeHaKee women, and just talk camp in general!
If you are wondering where to catch up with us next, click the link here! We’ve got lots of fun places to visit in order to find WeHaKee staff, campers, and catch up with old friends!
Speaking of all this travel, along the way, Bob, Maggie, and Thatch will answer lots of questions about WeHaKee and camp in general. It’s one of the things they are really good at–talking about camp! So as we meet some of you on the road, we are anticipating some really good questions, especially if it’s your first time considering camp.
But for some of you, it might be hard to know where to begin! There are so many great camps out there, and lots of information to take in. And while we hope you could all come to WeHaKee, we know that it’s about finding a summer experience that works for you and your family!
Don’t forget to check out the links at the bottom of the page. They talk more about some important things to consider in picking a summer camp.
So say you’ve narrowed down your choices a little bit, and you’re asking all the right questions… what now?
I like to think back to some of the questions I’ve gotten straight from the campers. So if you’re a potential or current camper, what would you ask? Here are some of my favorites:
- Are there bunk beds in the cabin? (Yes!)
- What are the horses names at camp? (We’ve had horses like Cowboy, Charlie, Dillon…)
- What’s your favorite food there? (I eat dog food, but I heard that the cookout is yummy!)
- Can my friend come!? (Of course!)
We know there’s lots to consider, but I hope Bob and I have helped along the way! Let us know if you have any questions about a WeHaKee summer, or camp in general! I know my questions are more fun than Bob’s, but there wouldn’t be any fun without the perfect fit! 🙂
See you at camp!
